Welcome to My Coaching Site & Personal Blog!
Hi there, friend, and welcome to my little corner of the world! I'm so glad you found me, and I look forward to making you feel welcomed, invited, and wanted in this space. Did you happen to see my cute little logo above? Let me explain what I found when I was designing it, because I think it will reveal a little about my heart.
I had no idea, but the teapot apparently carries all kinds of symbolism. This sums up the reason I chose to make it a part of my logo - something that represents me/my "brand"/who I am (even though I'm not a tea drinker...coffee all the way for me, please!) From the internet: "What does a teapot symbolize, you ask? Well, for starters, it represents hospitality. Think about it – when someone comes over to your home, what’s the first thing you offer them? A cup of tea, of course! (As mentioned, I actually offer coffee! Though I do have some tea, if that's your preference). The teapot is a symbol of warmth, comfort, and welcome. It’s a way of showing your guests that you value their presence and want to make them feel at home." This is DEFINITELY my purpose and passion, no matter where I am or who I'm with - I want others to feel safe and welcome in my presence.
Also, "Ultimately, the teapot embodies the essence of elegance and tranquility that is associated with tea drinking. It is not just an object but a symbol of a lifestyle that values serenity, contemplation, and connection. The act of pouring tea from a teapot into a cup is a meditative process that encourages one to slow down, appreciate the moment, and savor the simple pleasures of life." I love this! It is so imperative to our faith journey, that we take time to slow down, connect with ourselves, the Lord, and others...and also to make time for stillness and rest, solitude and contemplation/meditation/prayer and other spiritual disciplines. Especially in this fast-paced, microwave culture we live in today.
Do you see how the flowers are growing out of the teapot? That means seeds have been planted and life is growing. There is health and vitality, abundance and beauty coming up out of this humble little vessel. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you have been transformed from a broken vessel into one that is whole and complete, through which the light of His love is meant to shine out to others. If you feel like you have lost your shine, so to speak, and you are desperate for a friend to lead you back to the Way...or if you have never fully had this transformation I just spoke of, there is a reason you found me today. And I would absolutely love to connect with you and be like this teapot, pouring love and acceptance into your heart so that beauty and life would begin to blossom forth from you.
Who knew so much went into that teapot, huh?! Imagine how much is waiting to be poured into (and out of) you!! We live in a day where it's increasing hard to genuinely connect with people (& God...& ourselves), so that is what my mission and purpose is. I have felt disconnected from all the above, and I know how lonely and aimless it can all seem. But I can promise you, you were made for more. And there is so much more for you to discover about YOUR mission and purpose. And I'd love to take you by the hand and walk with you into freedom, fulfillment, and joy.
Jeremiah 29:11-14a "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord." They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me. I will be found by You," says the Lord. "I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes."
